The tabs
Read from left to right, as sheet music. Each note sits on the staff, with a picture of the ocarina under it: terracotta holes are covered, and the two small circles are the thumb holes. The note’s name is under the picture. A hollow head is a long note and a filled one a short one; a dot makes a note half as long again. For every fingering in detail, see the fingering chart.
Plays the tune at the ocarina’s own pitch.
Now play it.
Ocarina Quest listens while you play, waits for each note and shows you which ones were off.

The tricky spot
Three long notes with a leap up to high D and back down to A, so keep the breath steady and soft.
Where it sits on the learning path
You can play this after the unit “High D and E” of the app’s course.
