12-hole ocarina fingering chart
Every note of the 12-hole alto C ocarina, the one most people learn on. A terracotta dot is a hole you cover; an outlined hole stays open. The small picture is the underside, with the two thumb holes (LT and RT).
The left hand plays the holes nearest the mouthpiece (L1 to L4), the right hand the ones towards the tail (R1 to R4). LS and RS are the two tiny sub holes beside the middle fingers: keep them open except for the three lowest notes and C♯ and D♯. Each step up the scale lifts one more finger.
Sopranos, basses and ocarinas in G or F use the same fingerings; only the pitch is different. New to all this? Start here.
